Youthful voices fill the house
In loud seeking, questing tones
Young boys demanding attention
Voices shatter silence, like stones.
Resting house now comes alive
Vibrating in every room
T.v. turned on, computer too
Dispelling any perceived gloom.
"I'm hungry. What can we eat?"
Resounds now unceasingly
Muffled voices slow down -stuffed mouths,
Are still heard, but decreasingly.
Back to normal, the old house
Regains its tolerant air.
As youth has filled it up again
And it has buoyed spirits to spare.
