Jaunty jay,
All blue and grey,
Undaunted by the weather
Jumps about
With a shrill shout
And barely moves a feather.
Sunny day
So bright and gay
Makes us think the day is hot.
Go your way
Without delay,
You'll find out that it is not.
Winter may
Often relay
Rather false information.
If your play
Is to just stay
Indoors, for contemplation,
Like the jay-
So bright and gay
Undaunted by the weather-
Go on out
Jump, laugh and shout-
Winter need have no tether.
