The once placid little creek roared out of its banks,
Feeling the power of its new persona.
Unsuspecting twigs and wildlife
Were swept away in admiration
Of the powerful new entity
Undulating its muscles.
The one-time rivulet gurgled with undisguised delight,
Continuing its headlong rush to greater fame
With dash and verve.
This was the wave of the future!
