Sunshine Within
I carry it in my heart.
It beams forth ever brightly.
The most beautiful thing is
It shines daily - and nightly.
Outside it may be raining,
Or it may be dull and grey
But I have sunshine within-
That way it will always stay.
Where I look, the sunshine pours-
Happy, warm and inviting.
Somehow the people feel it
And perk up. It's exciting!
The dogs and cats come to me,
The wild birds have little fear
I love this sense of magic
Sunshine wraps around those near.
Sometimes I even fancy
Flowers turn their heads to me
Releasing heavenly scent
In happiness, given free.
I have sunshine in my heart,
I carry it in my soul.
I need it to thrive in life-
Its benefits I extol.
