I take flight on my midnight steed

And wing on silvery paths

Picked out by the pearly moon.



I fly to my other dreamlands

Unfettered by earthly needs.

I'll not be returning soon



For Pegasus is powerful

And the night has a long trail.

Aloft now, we're on our way



To our exciting adventures

In which I cannot indulge

In the ordinary day.
