Jonquil weather this newly minted day-
Fresh and gloriously awakening!
Inhale the green-scented air gustily, lustily.
Glory in the brilliant bursts of colour and sound.
That sprightly sparrow trills so gaily,
It elevates my spirit.
That gaudy yellow-beaked brightly vested robin
Cockily catches my eye.
Such a happy vernal panorama
To arouse my previously hibernating senses!
I salute you, season of rampant verdant growth
And emulate your generosity
With my fresh crop of bourgeoning written praise.
