Oh, how he worked for that sum of money!
How intently he thought out his plan!
His blue eyes sparkled, his jaw jutted out.
If it could be done, then he was the man.
Ah yes, the reward was worth working for!
He was fired with enthusiasm.
He had a dozen different ways mapped out
To retrieve the object from the chasm.
They all involved a very strong magnet
Attached to a very long strong string
Yes, he was a mighty adventurer-
And being an entrepreneur was his thing!
Well he salvaged many items that day
Not least among them was his young pride
For though he did not get what was wanted
He got his money, for he sure had tried.
