Moonlit nights are made for lunacy
So I'm glad that we fit in so well.
Spiralling events of the evening
Have shot our intentions all to hell.
Star filled skies set off their medallion
In a breathtaking vision of awe.
Far beneath this beauteous glowing
We were already set for a draw.
Our odd but enjoyable friendship
Changed forever on that moonlit night
For neither wanted to compromise
So it looked like it was kiss or fight.
The moon looked on with disquietude
And its silvery touch gilded all,
Gentling and taming the flared tempers,
Casting magic to delight and enthrall.
