The Whole World
I'm not really able to express myself
But, I guess I could give it a try,
I hadn't expected the whole world to change
The day disaster struck from the sky.
It had been just an ordinary day
Slowly bumbling along its way.
I had been at work, as I always was.
Next thing I knew, we were asked to pray.
Gradually we heard all about it.
We rushed after work to a t.v.
There for the first time we saw the attacks-
Hell had broken loose, evil set free.
Oh the death and destruction were rampant
Seen through a thick veil of smoke and tears.
Both innocents and heroes had been slain.
The evil would be felt for many years.
The great need to help in some way was urgent.
Money, brawn and blood were all offered.
Thousands of lives were destroyed that bloody day
Yet it's the whole world that has suffered.
