CALIFORNIA SQUIRRELS

In Berkeley's Cesar Chavez Park, named after the nonviolent

farm worker activist and vegetarian, the California Dept of

Fish and Wildlife unilaterally and arrogantly ordained that the squirrels would

all be exterminated.  That department did not consider

humane trapping and relocation nor sterilization.

But there has been such an outcry that

Berkeley's City Council will reconsider the situation.
