TEN YEARS LATER
*
Ten years since her husband's death
she still craved the sight of him
coming in the door, his suitcoat
slung over his back, with his
magnetic smile. She wanted more to
listen to the odyssey of his day than to
tell him her own. She yearned to
glance at him again in a long black
coat, resembling a materialized
laser beam, as they
prepared to go out for an evening,
or in old bluejeans walking barefoot
with her on the seashore.
She missed the one who knew her
totally... who always gave her
more than 100%.... whose eyes
saw into her soul, healing with his
gaze.
She knew he was always with her...
but wanted his spirit to touchdown.
