1 bees are routinely crushed when racks are slid in and out.
2 The wings of the queen bee are clipped so that she cannot move the hive. 3 Many beekeepers don't want to lose money allowing the bee slaves to eat the honey which is the fruit of their labor during the winter and so kill the whole hive.
