Hospices started out as altruistic places of mercy and have devolved into
the corrupt institutions typical of the US pharma-hospital-doctor -insurance
complex

Often no liquid is given to hasten death. Patients die feeling thirsty.
Now hospices are corrupt, connected to HMO's and insurance companies
which pressure people into 'do not resuscitate' orders and
in order to save money hurry them into hospices. In the case of the Arlington hospital
2 health insurance co. doctors spent each 1/2 hour trying to badger a patient
into a hospice.
Morphine and addictive ativan are the most common painkiller and drug. It is easy to shove
someone out of his or her body with a high dose of opiates.
There's virtually never any criminal investigation of hospice deaths.
Those with medical power of attorney have a
license to kill..
