THE HEART OF THE ROSE **
*
Busy bees chased
the flower chaste
They crawled on her
clothes
her petals unfolded
but not those held close
(to J Kasmir)

LOVESLIDES**
*
Dust caked plant confined within
house walls..stares out wistfully
as raindrops make loveslides down leaves
washing away their dirt
Time for the spray bottle she believes
*
ACHILLES TAIL**
*
The deer's white tail
gave him away
in the brown winter wood
but his speed protected
him from those who would
kill him if they could
*
GREEN BUD**
*
The tree full of rising
sap and green bud
was felled
as are young men who
in old rich men's
wars are killed
*
BREAKING AWAY**
*
"The early bird gets
the worm" to her baby
said the robin
"I don't want to kill
worms" said the fledgling nestling
*
SLEUTH AFTER TRUTH**
*
For a while
he was a sleuth
after hidden truth
As time went by
he knew
the highest truth
was being ruth

TINY FEET IN MOUSE TRAP*

Most people don't
see the slaughter of
the animals
they eat
but those who trap
mice are confronted
by their tiny
fragile feet

THE SMELL OF PEACE

Between Western countries
and North Korea
the smell of peace
is of unharmed
fragrant peonies
the highest truth
was being ruth

The USDA, CDC, FDA, HHS etc promote the eating of toxic cadavers of murdered animals. <br /Prolife people elect Republican presidents who cause abortions by bomb to pregnant women.The 5th Angel of Revelation said not to harm any green living being. Republicans promote deforestation.
