Rickey of the Dodgers told Bill Veeck of the Indians
about Larry Doby, who became the 1st American League
African American. But for 10 years Veeck did not use
the economic power of the Indians to force hotel
and restaurant desegregation.. for 10 years Doby
ate and slept separately from his teammates.
Today the Indians still have economic relationships
with corporations exploiting African Americans.
Larry Doby said on a radio network show that
when whites found he could make money for them
they camouflaged their racism.

It is time for the Indians to retire
