GRATITUDE FOR GRAPEFALLS

With occasional preventing
angelic interventions,
in the material plane
Newton's third law holds sway:
that each action
has an equal and opposite reaction.

but in the omnipresent
world of Spirit
.. each drop of love
accrues
without reaction..

each drop of sunlight
draws plants up its
spiral ladder..

and the resultant
cherryfalls and acornfalls
and grapefalls and
applefalls
are gratefully
received by all

SQUIRREL WINDFALL

Squirrels were grateful
that the strong storm
released many pinecones
into their laps.

WAVE CRISIS

the waves crash against
the rocks..
turning water into mist
.. as a crisis
turns the protagonist
.. into a mystic

MAD COW MARSHMALLOWS

avoid mad cow
marshmallows
and fries cooked
in cow tallow
and in so doing
save innocents
from slaughterhouse gallows

One tiny cloud wisp
can block the infinite sun
One weak link.. can destroy
a 10,000 link chain
One open door.. can

FLOW FINDS A WAY

Over the blocks
of piles of rocks
the river finds a way
Around the walls
of money lack
.. money flow finds a way
Through the most dense
barriers,
Spirit finds a way.

ECOTERRORIST CROPDUSTERS

Ecoterrorist cropdusters
snuff butterfly lustre.
Of a different kind of gold
they are the lusters.

NO SNOW AT SEA

snowflakes
fall on seashore sand
.. they blanket not
the sea but land
as cold insults
at saints thrown
do not remain
on their warm heart thrones

NO WOUND

it is not
necessary to have
an exit wound
to end an unhappy
relationship

DARSHAN OF BEGGAR

the sight of a beggar in need
angers a miser and opens
the wallet of a kind person

NEOPHYTES

Only neophytes
like to fight

PIGEON SEVA

The hospital janitor shooed away
the pigeons until an angel told him
their seva was to swoop and swirl

As a school of fish dart in waters
As eucalyptus leaves flash first
lime then gray
As an inspiring thought quicksilvers
every mind cell
so do they lift the spirits
of the bedridden
watching from their windows.

SUN ADVENT

The sun's advent..
is told by the light
of happy pink and gold clouds
clustered at His entrance site

so where there is an Avatar
are clustered many teacher stars

PINK WHITE AND BLUE

Sunrise..
a narrow bar of pink above
the horizon
where the sun will be rising
.. further up a white band
.. and higher still
sky blue
.. pink white and blue..
healing stripes...
as red surrenders to
higher colors

JOURNAL THERAPY

With a pen,
sad events reliving
is a form of releasing
and of relieving

(when chaotic feelings
are put on paper..
they become separate
as they assume an order)

GENERAL UNPLUGGED

No longer can his orders
violate the veterans' borders

The morning clouds
were dovewings
.. every feather
flowing together

She wanted to watch "The Young and the Restless"
He preferred "The Old and the Tired".
With earphones... and 2 tv's side by side
together they can still reside

DIVINE WRAPPING

Infinite are the simple nonharming
wrappings the Creator provides
for His* fruit creations.

Out of the sod
the Almighty God
creates pea pods
Husks of coconut
Walnut shells
Lemon rinds
Apple peels

And some like
the kumquat
and the grape
need no wrapping
at all.

* God is beyond gender..
Some use the male adjective..
some the female and some
avoid the subject altogether
