MAVOORNING



Out of the sea

the sun aborning

with his awesome

light of morning

Not adorned

but all adorning

says to you

"Come!

My Mavoorning!"

BLUE PEACE



The vertical shaft

of yellow sunlight

becomes horizontal

gold on the seas

The vertical white

foam of the cataract

at fallsbase turns

to pools of blue peace.



ADDLEPATED





her head lost in clouds

of appleblossoms

.. they said the tree was addlepated



she didn't care

full of twittering birds

.. she would be apple-gated







EARTH GIFTS



A woman sits on top

of the Grand Canyon

meditating.. as a rainbow

arcing over the void

anchored in the rock

and the rising sun

diamonding the crest

compete for her attention..

but she is lost in ecstasy



DREAM BOATS



Very rarely would she

allow violent wakeup alarms

to catapult her out

of her dream balloon..



.. and the rooster's crow

unnecessary if animals

not imprisoned



Dream gurus let

dreams slowly secede

as the tidal flow

in quiet recedes



they remember more



sometimes God is

burning off

debts with nightmares



some dreamers write them down in

journals and later see

that other dream actors were

foretelling angels who

gave them prophecies





HARD SUN SOFT MOON



Hard is the sunlight of

noon

Soft is the light

of the moon



BLUELIGHT SEA



All beings swim

in the bluelight seas

of God's joy



May its

gentle waves lull

my honeycomb mind to sleep

as into my soul

I allow them to seep



May they pour into

my mind's honeycomb

from my heart

.. stilling her buzz..



.. May I be the berry

teabag

which in the teawater

steeps



The windseas

of God's joy

surround all beings

May they oer me sweep

for my soul is awake

when my body sleeps



May peace come ticking

slow..

May peace come dripping

  slow

May peace on clouds float

May peace in rivers flow



BRIDGE OF GOLD



The sun arose

and then unrolled

across the lake

a bridge of gold



saying..

come into My Warm

get out of the cold

.. I am with you

today

as I have been of old







CLOUDWATCHING



When I focus on

the clouds

semaphoring

the azure blue

.. floating flotillas

of white hue

...their slow

sailing

grabs my soul

and slows

down

my sails



EMBEZZLING BEE



The rising sun does subdue

the chalices of morning dew

and the bees abandon being

.. for it is now time to do



Embezzling bee busily buzzles

when he is begonia bound

But bumble bee in calm bliss

guzzles

When his blooms are found.





HEART RADIO DISPATCHER



The mind is a radio dispatcher which can through prayer send angels

to those in need. But her heart..

need do nothing at all..

the angels

respond.. to unspoken calls.

Her prayers

are needles weaving

the loose threads loveless

into lovely lovelace

as surely

as the fir tree

ravels

OCEAN OF THE SELF



In prayer she walked

the plank to the ocean

of her self

which daily views

sun's dawning

from the continental

shelf

Why had she resisted

so... this immersion

in ecstasy

Why had she resisted

in Love's seas



MOON IS NOT SUN



2 balls in the sky

seem the same size..

the sun

and the moon

.. but the sun

is many many times

larger..



as we approach God

we realize more

His omnipotence



OCEAN SWALLOWS



In the ocean's

becalmed depths

he swallows

the thought waves

he creates in the shallows.





QUEEN ANNE'S LACE



Queen Anne's Lace

Sun's Crystallized Grace

Her roots grow much deeper

to the waters of God

She is able to make

pure lace out of sod.

chalice halves

opening to receive

Faster and more impatient

than a triple crown champion

horse is the mind..

to lead such a horse

into attention,

to make an elephant

stand on a circus stool..

are inherently cruel)

In that Buddhist

life

his meditation

was the monk's key

.. when he first knew

he was one

with every weed,

fish, and monkey



WOODPECKER



Why is the

woodpecker's

mantra drill

more peaceful

than the other

birds' trills?



SHAKTIPAT



Like a wick-quick-

ning flame

which transmits

all its fire

is shaktipat

which gives all power

yet keeps its own

entire.













BOXING THE SEA



Standing on the shore

of her mind she tries to

pin down each wave of thought..

avoiding the beyondmind

depths as she continues

to try to control

the mental ocean's endless roll



One cannot put the sea in a box

nor can one boxpunch the sea



VORTEX OF LIGHT



Sunrise

its vortex of light

.. its crimson flaming funnel

can magnetize one out of night

into dawning day's

light tunnels

Waves ever beseech

the sandhearted beach

when their focus

should be on the sun



UNIVERSAL ARATI



Goldfish swim their gold flames

  in circles below the lotus bloom.

Bees wave their gold fire bodies

   round the apple blossoms

Moons later, fruit flies join them

   in swirling round the fallen fruit.

Sunflowers twirl their gold petals

  round the sun.

Sunlit moons circumscribe planets which

    orbit the central sun.

All hearts wave ignited love round

the Indweller, Omnipresent and

  therefore in each being.





LILIES BENEATH THE BRIDGE



Earthlings

walk over the bridge but for the bees, the action is with master lilies below

Trees of January like Job continue to lift their arms in prayer

though they are powerless, unable to speak or move, their leaves stolen.

He took off his boots, but still the discalced elephant

caused harm and so he decided to meditate in the pond.

As a telescope turns the pinprick of light

into the jewel of Jupiter, meditation gives tangible

proximity to God who indwells all
