Eve's sunslip is shed
and her violet cape is thrown even oer the sky.
Star jewels tiptoe unshod
onto her purple brocade.
Birds are wingsheltered.
Blooms infold their petaled shutters.
Cloudloom shadowers
shut down their shuttles
and flow into earthshade.
The sea murmurs hushshshsh
that through the Gate of Quiet Nigh
you may heark to the tread of Silent Night
.. witness the goddess of the chase
forsake for all time her crescent
moon huntress bow. She watches
it melt in compassion's void.
Now Diana commences
her dhyana.. and hears
forevermore
the lovewhispers of
Shiva.

dhyana: Sanskrit for meditation
Shiva: 3rd person of the Hindu trinity
(the Night of Shiva occurs when the sun is in pisces on the night that the moon in pisces becomes no moon. It is the most auspicious night to witness the mind surrender to the heart.)
