Holy Holly

Once termites bored

a hole in the holly

on the hill

Now a gnawing holocaust

of emptiness

where once Hollywood

was held

but as time passed

they all knew

that Holly was hallowed

because Holly was hollowed

and soon a beehive came

graced with honey

and the magic of the

queen to

the hallowed hollowed

holy

Holly on the hill.

BLANK CANVAS

A river overburdened

looks to the receiving sea.

An artist wants not newsprint

but blank canvas for his art.

A soul in pain wants

present, listening ears.

A soul in pain wants

a nonjudging heart.

FRUIT STEM

Grasping, clutching

is the fruit stem

holding onto

Mother Tree's hem

When she is strong

she will let go

and not be afraid

to be in the flow

Author's Notes/Comments:

Leonardo Da Vinci
said he did not
steal honey from bees.
A British rabbi has
written of the cruelty
of honey production.
