All Paths Are Holy As one man became a vegetarian on pot..
for his perceptions were slowed down
and he realized as he ate a chicken leg that he was gnawing on the
leg of a chicken... Mary Jane did her work and
he no longer visits her
As another man became a theist on LSD,
.. writing that he felt like an orange
being pulled apart segment by segment.. as
God's biochemistry pulled him out of his brain
into the universe
As a third broke through the ice
with alcohol... conquering his shyness
to speak to a woman who later became
his wife.. he no longer drinks
As a fourth, a soldier drafted to Vietnam, walked
nightly along the trails to an opium den where
he leaned his rifle against the wall.. to commune
weaponless with Viet Cong,
and the following mornings took the paths of peace, not war..
As frozen water begins to melt and nurse
the blooms of spring
so all paths are holy to the nondualist
.. all unfolding
.. all revealing
is Divine Revelation
