THANKSGIVING HORROR STORY
from Pegeen Fitzgerald, for many decades
a host on WOR of NY:
When I was little my family went out to
select a turkey to kill for Thanksgiving..
the man knifed the little turkey.. and
plucked all her feathers out.. and then
stuck her in the freezer.
Three hours later we went to the freezer
to get her out and cook her..
she was still alive... and so we adopted
her as a pet.. but kept her inside because
her feathers never grew back.
(Pegeen became a vegetarian as a result
of the experience.. and refused ads on
her show which exploited animals)
