Pegeen Fitzgerald of
WOR recounted that
her mother had chloroformed and then had plucked
every feather from
a turkey and stuck her
in a freezer. Several
hours later she was still
alive. They adopted her
as a pet.

Creiophilic bacteria
can survive
freezing while thermophilic
bacteria survive boiling.
The USDA has a site
for some of the recalls
of the meats which cause
75 million incidents
of food poisoning annually.
