over its side, unhurt they emerge as one, some drops rising as mist to bless riparian trees.

a disconnect in brain synapses.

When Hitler directs that animals be freed
from the Berlin Zoo during the bombing
but starts a war which kills 55 million.. this is a blockage
in his soul.

Howard Zinn speaks of the disconnect
of bomber pilots who cannot
hear the screams, smell the blood
nor see the limbs being blown
off .. as they are 30,000 feet up

When people stand in freezing cold
for peace.. and then go home
to dead bodies on the dinner plate
this is a disconnect

When teachers show their

of animals divided into
steaks.. it is a disconnect

All these illustrate the disconnect
of distance.. they cannot kill
whom they know but can
objectify beings they do not know
