From earth, it seems that the stars are a vast

crowd of fans waiting for the moon as she enters the sky

stage.  Yet though she is

the queen of the night

she is a lifeless satellite

and shines

with stolen light.

She is a mere jot in comparison

to the thousands of times larger stars who glow

with their own self luminescence.

Footnote:

My teacher asked his followers why the moon had so much power

on earth.. and told them 'proximity'.

A wondrous analogy for

A wondrous analogy for physical life itself. For a "mere jot" in our endless adventure, it all seems so real. With stunning precision and impressive eloquence, you put the ordinary into life-altering perspective. How often does the "stolen light" hypnotize us into forgetting the magnificence beyond this fleeting illusion, and most importantly, the magnificence of Who We Really Are.
