Only those who would

make orphans of cubs in their lairs,

who want trophies, and don't for bears care

would ever use the phrase 'loaded for bear'.

There are teddy bears now because of the

over 800 bears murdered by Theodore Roosevelt

one mother's cub wandered into camp, and

Roosevelt prevented her or his murder.
