Iraq's Highway Of Death
Their white flags, cotton fabric pleas for mercy, tremblied in the breeze as Iraqi soldiers
on the Highway Of Death begged for mercy for their families, animals and themselves.
The response of the military was to carpet bomb them and bulldoze them, many alive, into
graves. Their white flags requesting clemency became part of their burial shrouds.
