Tears of Time

Falling into my own pain

Devoured by this crying rain

Darkness filling every place

My soul taken without a trace.

These scars of mine never leave

Though hidden well beneath the years

Soft flesh marred by the winds of time

No longer burned by these hot tears.

Falling into the pit of sorrow

Lost in time--numb to hate

Nothing truly filling my void

My death approaching much too late.

Do you see this pain inside?

This Labirynth of doors

All leading to hatred of myself

Bitter hearts trapped within.

Loving arms--far from reach

Warm comfort--far from me

Cold stone heart as only 'relief'

Destroying all sanity I once held dear.

All around me there's smiling faces

Continual lies hidden in shame

Plastic façades worn to show

All the happiness I do not hold.

One flicker of sorrow

Starts a world of pain

Dark void gaze lost in the lights

Watch the life drain from my eyes.

Silent tears burn my face

Shadowed by those happy façades

Love not felt--blinded by loss

Trying to keep sane

Behind closed dooes

Behind all the lies

And the Tears of Time.
