[Thanks be to God for the Gospel of the holy, glorious and all laudable Apostle and Evangelist John. whose Gospel consists of far more than 3:16]
Rejoice, rejoice O village of Bethany
for Jesus Christ is on His way---
His plan is to visit you.
along with the grieving family
of recently dead Lazaros, too.
And one of them will rebuke Him for delay,
but this is her sorrow venting, or so I assume.
But Jesus will raise Lazarous out of that tomb,
although (as we all know) this is the fourth day.
And he should be rotten, with a very bad smell:
but Jesus Christ is here to dispel
the common accoutrements of grim death,
and restore Lazarus to life and breath.
The tomb, as well, will relinquish and release its claim
upon Lazarous, as soon as Christ has spoken his name.
