K. R. was the initials, and pen name, of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich Romanov (1858-1915), a grandson of Czar Nicholas I. He was an Orthodox Christian. He published poetry and plays under his initials, K. R.; his last play was entitled, King Of Judea. I can sympathize with the personal issues with which he struggled during his adulthood. His health was broken by the strain of Wolrd War I (in which he did not participate militarily), but he died before the rise of the Bolshevik Party and their atrocities upon the Romnov family and countless Christians of the Orthodox Church.
