Lenin, The Blaze Of Your Indomitable Rage

Lenin, the blaze of your indomitable rage

consumed all who, you believed, impeded your way;

all whom you had convinced yourself to despise:

you worked relentlessly to entirely socialize

not just the means of production, but

also the imposition of politically expedient death.

To the infliction of this, and Red Terror, your every breath---

both waking and in your dream-haunted sleeping---

was devoted to the achievement of this in full

expression of the vendetta that rotted your soul.

To satisfy the enormity of your hatred,

you wreaked blasphemous acts upon the sacred,

and upon those who were entirely innocent

of that which caused your whole life's discontent.

And the whole Kremlin became merely the Inn of your keeping.
