Most Hiigh and Mighty, Christ Jesus, our God and God incarnate,
Lord and Lover of Humanity, Mankind; Jesus, Bright and Morning Star,
I have called upon Your Sacred Name, the Name Above all other names,
and I enjoy Salvation as Prophet Habukkuk has declared in Your
Holy Scriptures. I ask, most humbly and yet most fervently,
that---having entered my soul and claimed it Yours---You
rise higher, Most High, and to the highest, and that it is to plead
that You also delve deeper, deeply and most deep into me that
no part of my soul that You died to save (because, loving me,
You gave Yourself for me and died the death that should have been mine
so that I could participate in the Resurrected Life that is most surely Yours),
that no part of this thus redeemed soul is apart from You, or bereft of You,
because You have declared, and directed it to be written, that You
will never leave me nor forsake me, and I---entering the last stage of my
lifespan on earth, my heart failing, my other organs beginning to enter
silence---I, who, as a youth wept in isolate and insular loneliness shall
not die alone, nor enter the realm of death that You trampled and
pulverized into particles so fne You stood upon them barefoot in
Your accomplished Triumph, which You do not disdain to share with
those who call, and have called, and shall call upon Your glorious Name,
Christ our Lord and Great God. Amen.

This is a powerful and deeply devotional piece.
It reads like a prayer set to music,
and being as you connected it to the spirit of John Tavener’s sacred works; his compositions often stretch toward the eternal, layering repetition, invocation, and silence into something transcendent.
here is poetry that doesn't always conform

Thank you, and please forgive my delayed reply. And I deeply appreciate your words about Tavener. Thank you so much.
