Something always gets me, when I head to the city,
think of a girl so pretty, a dream easy to pity,
something about an angel, just kills me,
and whenever I go downtown, you in my mind is a guarantee.
It's good for everyone to hurt somebody, once in a while,
as long as I take it with a smile, I will always feel you in style,
let us take what we both feel, use them and make them worthwhile,
why push them underneath the conversations, no need to label them hostile.
Some nights when I dream, it is of us together one night,
walking though bright lights, an ending never in sight,
everything between us is alright, it's hard to always fight,
it's the type of way that overtakes a man, and gives him the words to write.
Something always gets me, when i head down to Chelsea,
her name shines bright in my mind, like those famous in the city,
in numerical rating, she is the only ten I see,
still whenever I go downtown, you in my mind is a guarantee.
