The letter revealed,
The nightmares that woke him;
The salty tears drained to his lips,
His senses began to fail him.
Shapes formed behind his scared eyes,
And they looked just like her;
The same scarlett dress,
And the diamond to tell what they were.
But her body had betrayed her,
And she'd given into weakness;
Everything inside him screamed for help,
But only his heart was there to witness.
The rain began falling,
Drowning his every memory;
The reason seemed inconceivable,
And all she could say was sorry ?
He will be as useless as the waves,
Crashing again and again;
He will be as blind as before her,
Never knowing where to begin.
She'd always been a runner,
And now she ran with his heart;
How sly and cruel was the other,
Who bitterly tore them apart.
He tries to find comfort alone,
And the reason remains the same;
He foolishly fell inlove with beauty,
And the beauty of love is to blame.
