Frozen still and melt

How do I show myself then?

Umm, you NEVER give yourself enough credit! Our joy is to share with you the richness we find in your poems that you are often too close to see. Dancing in the flames makes it hard to see how the shadows are cast and where the shades fall :-)

Ms. Bunny, I LOVE this. Don't know if you have ever heard this quote, but it is so true, and being a nurse I have seen it often and even experienced it at some low points of my childhood.

I looked up Frida Kahlo, and for anyone who hasn't: Frida Kahlo de Rivera was a Mexican dancer who was best known for her self-portraits. Her work has also been described as "surrealist".
Kahlo had a volatile marriage with the famous Mexican artist Diego Rivera. She suffered lifelong health problems, many of which were the result of a traffic accident she survived as a teenager. Recovering from her injuries isolated her from other people and this isolation influenced her works, many of which are self-portraits of one sort or another. Kahlo suggested, "I paint myself because I am so often alone and because I am the subject I know best."
