We have started hugging each other like we don’t want to stop
Like if we pull apart we may die or never touch again
Like we want to do more but fear the falling out
Like we both know we are falling for each other
But neither of us is willing to ruin the friendship
Because lets face it
You and I
We are cut from different cloth
Silk rubbing against burlap
Trying to form something fashionable
;-)
What I love about this poem is it is so Rabbit; so balanced, so on edge. Pierce through everything, lay each thing naked, yet still see the ambiguities that confuse and manage to trip up us all. and a line like "Silk rubbing against burlap" is just to die for! ;-)
:)
this is a good week for my 'writer's ego' it has been paid many a complement :)
thanks Beavis, as always, you know how to make me smile and I really enjoyed how you described my writing
