Maybe I made a mistake

I am sitting here in the commons listening to the not fully developed local Tracey Chapman

Feeling empty on a Wednesday

Avoiding yoga because of the ‘heat’

Thinking how I cannot wait until the mouth besides me shuts up

Hoping it realises that it opens with nothing to say

Scanning the room for some resemblance to the woman I was who drew you in like lightening bugs round a berry bush

I think I like simile too much

Maybe that’s the problem

The comparison of you to things that only poorly highlight the effect you have

Maybe I made the right choice after all and empty is just how it will be until it is not

I love the similie too. What a complete expierence of a bored and empty relationship.

hmmm

I enjoy your perception of this poem, to be honest it was not an angle I had considered, which made me re-read it and see new things in my own words. Its odd how bored and empty came across as most people who viewed the interactions would say it seemed exciting and fun, but I do feel that I felt bored and empty in the interactions despite their apperance of fun and active.

:) thanks for the comment

Much Love
