When things happen
I think
And I think
And I think
And then I think some more.
I think out all angles of a situation, all possible explanations, scenarios, and outcomes.
I just think.
But then I have all these thoughts.
Just there in my head popping like popcorn in my brain.
And I get full.
I stop remembering what thoughts I thought were the truth; what ones I believe
And what thoughts were just devils advocates or other people’s inputs.

So I write
And I write
And I write
And then I write some more.
And I get it all out,
Let the pen eat the pop corn, let the paper soak the butter.
And then it's clear.
The words on the page are hardly the words of truth.
Just bits of moments considered and tossed aside.

The anger is not real
It was a moment in over thought passed by like lambs blood on a door.

You were angry,
I was angry,
The poem was angry,
For the writer it has passed,
But for the reader it is all that there is
