"You looked like the girl I met at the first BBQ"
Except that I’m not
She stopped your world
She lit you up
Made you ask “where have you been all my life?”
I saw how you looked at her
Like she was all you ever wanted
All you could ever want again
To you she was the most beautiful person you had ever met
Your being was run over with the cliché “soul mate”
You couldn’t take your eyes off her
You loved her
And last that I checked
You stopped loving me
Author's Notes/Comments:
you can't even look at me, how would you know what i looked like?
:) also it is so funny the memories that one connects to actions, moods, and simple phrases no?
besides I am way better than her, I am me again, sadly, you never did get to know the real me for too long :( it's a shame that I doubt you will be man enough to get to know her now
(anyone noticed how sometimes I continue the poem in my comments? I always comment like the person the poem is about is reading when they aren't....hmmmm see Kara I am crazy too!)
