Remember to Breathe
Was I not just here only yesterday?
Same bridges, same tunnels, same railway line.
Traffic ebbs and flows in much the same way,
Made to order by suspicious design.
So many appraisals that are uninvited,
So many times for self-doubt.
The task is to leave the forces unignited,
Shut negativity out.
The challenge of it will never end -
Resolute I face each demand
Knowing there's evil 'round every bend
Walking with goodness hand in hand.
It's sufficient to do my brain in, make me seethe...
Then I repeat those sage words - "remember to breathe."
