i really do want long walks on the beach
i just want you to be the one who's leading

to be wrapped up in your arms
to be the one you long for
as you ask with such passion
"who could ever love you more?"
in rhetorical fashion
that's what i want
and not at the matinee

would you travel a million miles for me?
would you walk to the ends of the earth?
gently force me into your reach
after long walks on the beach?

you're the one that i'm hoping for
the only thing i know for sure
is my need for you to come and claim me
as your own and only special guy
to wrap me in your arms every night
insuring that i'd never take flight

not that i'd ever put up a fight
