All the Earth is solid and still.
Porch lights peak out from each house we see.
Life will resume, it surely will,
But as the snow falls we let it be.
All the fevers are now quieted down,
All the blisters soothed and relieved.
A restful repose envelops this town
That's welcome and gladly received.
Crisp winter air fills our lungs
Blissfully furrowing its way.
Sweet little clouds on our tongues
Keep tomorrow's worries at bay.
To release the pressure is the key -
Like the snow we're falling, falling free.
