Letter From An Angel
I got a letter from an Angel,
An Angel wrote to me,
It told me not to worry, things will work out right,
Not to hurry but sleep on it tonight.
I got a letter from an Angel,
I was only seventeen,
High on drugs, high on liquor, high on caffeine.
The Angel told me to listen, told me to sit,
To me this is not a hoax and to listen to this,
"Your life is precious, I am here, there is no need to fear,
I am watching, You'll make it through, I know how this all sounds to you,
But things will all turn out alright, so stop crying through the night.
Life can be a nightmare, no room for harmony,
But your life will get better, just put your faith in me".
I got a letter from an Angel,
It spoke right out to me,
Cheating, stealing, greed and debt,
A life of agony.
It wrote about my family,
And how I treated them. Seventeen years of sweat and tears,
Making me a man.
It's never enough though, I push them away,
Scream and shouting at them everyday.
A selfish jerk, out of work,
I left college,
I quit highschool,
But I was young, I was a fool,
And yet this Angel says;
"Your life is precious, I am here, there is no need to fear,

In ten years time, you'll think of this rhyme,
Time to leave your life of crime,
You're gonna make so much, out of your liiiiiife,
I got a letter from an Angel,
The letter was signed, "from Me".
