FATHER,FATHER,
Why did You give Your only Son?
Why did You flood the world,
And try to kill everyone?
Did we need the rain?
Were our tongues dry from drought?
Were we drowning in
Our faithlessness and doubt?
And did You ever really mean
To sacrifice Your Son?
Or was that just agreed upon,
After all was said and done?
Was He just a casuality
Of Ignorance of Man;
Who are taught to fear and hate
What they don't understand?
Did they fear Him?
Were they jealous?
Did they want to walk on water too?
Did He do things
People thought
That people shouldn't do?
For it has been 2,000 years,
And things are much the same.
Since He's been gone,
The Ignorance of Man,it still remains.
The "Different" are still "Crucified";
Our hearts are scarred by words and stares.
Their nails and daggers pierce our pride;
Their Ignorance,the cross we bear.
But what of all the little ones?
Are they not Your Chosen Ones?
For they're the ones who understand
The pain felt by Your Only Son..
Your Holy Son,The Holy Ghost,
The One who Sacrificed the most;
But we on Earth still suffer too,
And through it all,we still need you.
And FATHER,FATHER,
I need You.
I'm sorry if I went astray.
I just wondered
Where You were
When they treated me that way.
But i hope You can forgive my sins,
As i forgive their Ignorance;
For i know they know not what they do,
And i hope You can forgive them too.
