As I lie in this old room of mine
My mind begins to wonder
As if I'm on a boat
Traveling down memory lane
Yet, the memories come
And go quickly
The ones that stand out the most
Are my most treasured
The ones of me and my puppy
How we grew up together
The memories of my weird rescue
Dog who I loved to the end
Even when he was bizarre
Beyond reason
To the first moments I
Brought my son's home
To this very same room
How they grew up in it
How I hated it
How it made me closterfobic
How many memories and days
After me and my parents went
At each other
Than their are the good memories of
How me and my love
Used to make love in this room
Some memories good and
Some bad
Yet,
I try to remember only the good
Ones
Just to make this room
More bearable for me
