What Cindy Sheehan might have asked the Coward of Crawford
I asked him about
his favorite pastime,
killing Iraqis for profit,
and all he kept spouting
was freedom this and 9-11 that.
I queried him his
second favorite pastime,
sending poor and middle-class
boys and girls off to war,
and possible death,
and he kept mouthing
noble sacrifice and just cause.
I posed questions
of deception and
weapons most massive
in destruction and
he just spewed diatribes
of evil tyrants and Kurdish victims
Finally,
I begged him
to properly connect
the Twin Tower tragedy
with dead Iraqi children,
and his eye began to twitch
and his mouth erupted in
scripted lines of
treason and not-for-us-then-against-us
until he devolved into
epileptic seizures on the ground
howling for Karl Rove
to save him
from my questions…
I walked away…
my questions lay
unanswered
as he keeps twitching.
