Searching for solutions
To the relevant misdeeds
Wading through confusion
In inherent mystery
Coalescing all these condescending things
I'm wondering what all that's superfluous means

Remebering simpler days
When times weren't rife with negativity
Remember safer ways
To sift through life without such scrutiny

And yesterday fed us a new tomorrow
Chasing madness from the cobwebs on our graves
Yesterday we were free from sorrow
And today everything just seems to change

The insolence
The arrogance
The selfishness that seeps
Into all the spaces seeming to be free
Common sense
In lost in this
And all these broken fragile things
Fragments strewn across what we believe

Remembering simpler times
When all the world made sense
Remembering what it's like
To see the change come on so quick

And yesterday fed us a new tomorrow
Chasing madness from the cobwebs on our graves
Yesterday we were free from sorrow

What happened to compassion?
Who absolved all courtesy?
How can we find magic
In this plastic world we see?
Life's become so tragic
Sitting through the agony
When did it all happen?
Is this what we really chose to be?
Living in a world that's all about me, and me, oh, and me

Leaving all of us with so much debt unpaid
