Old Poems

I walked down the waterfront on a warm summer's day,

and listened to the pipers play,

The waves were crashing on the docks,

and children playing on the rocks,

the gulls were flying in the sky above,

the sailors on the ships they love,

the cannon blasts on citadel hill,,

it feels like time is standing still,

I can taste the ocean in the air,

I wouldn't be happier anywhere.
