In the shadows I watch you develop, created from that I despise,
I am happy in my solitude, while you take all the eyes.
Spectating as you feed, I play, safely within my dream,
You have grown since I saw you last, learning more, it would seem.
Yet knowing of your freedom and the change that you have made,
I remain your shadow for some time now, its growing cold within the shade.
And though you boast your presence, I found my saving grace,
I did it on my own, you see, with us, you have no place.
I fought you and bound you, left you silenced in the dark.
Despite my every effort, again loose you make your mark.
You caused my world to crumble, my angel could not stay,
As you make your existence known, you pushed my angel away.
Content with your destruction, you wallow in your pride,
Unaware that I am watching you, my eyes open wide.
Enjoy your memories of destruction, for thats all they'll ever be,
I have been blessed with the touch of an angel, felt what it is to be free.
So scream to the heavens and feel thier silence, even bring your fires of hell,
I have grown too strong for that part of me now, I have my own story to tell.
