Life and Death as One

From beneath the weight of death,
life emerges and lunges towards the sun.
She shines,
and around the decay we dance,
but forget that though we dance,
we shall not deprecate,
yet celebrate
and enunciate the significance of both,
the necessity of cycles.

Circling around,
we’ve become dizzy and confused,
realizing nothing new,
yet designing
and inventing tools to perpetuate
the same old patterns of Mind.
The trash piles into mountains of incalculable complexity
with frequent landslides and avalanches
to topple our towers.
