A Letter To My Sanity

The alarm rings its five a.m.

Morning after morning, again and again.

An unbroken cycle that seems to have no end.

Work to home, home to work.

My boss is a jerk.

Rush hour traffic not once but twice.

For what?

A paycheck that is gone before it is even in my hand.

This is when I had to ask,

when did I loose my sanity?

Somewhere between the two a.m. feedings,

and the potty training.

Dressing three people in the time allotted for one.

Eating breakfast on the run.

Pop-Tarts of every flavor and form.

Shoot, I forgot to thaw out something for supper.

Oh joy to add another stop on my never-ending run.

Calgon could do only so much.

Another day has come and gone.

Along with another one,

and every other one.

Where has my sanity gone?

Lost somewhere among all of this,

I could forever add to this list.

The alarm rings its five a.m. Morning after morning,

again and again.

An unbroken cycle that has no end.
